For Schools
Email: hello@fudgeandgandol.com to register for the 2026/27 storycupThe StoryCup is our national storytelling competition open to Irish Primary Schools. Over 1,500 students have already taken part in 2025/26. We look forward to bringing this to schools across Ireland in 2026/2027.

How the story app works
From imagination to storybook in four steps
Your child. Their characters. Their story.
Step into Myrndale, an enchanted Irish forest. Meet the cast; Whispero the Wizard, Éabha the Fox, Misneach the Wolf, Tine the Dragon and Queen Seraphina, to name a few. Every character has a personality, a backstory and an adventure waiting to unfold.
Your child creates their own characters - either drawn on paper and uploaded, and transformed into a Myrndale style character - or designed in the app. They give them a name, a personality, powers and a history. From there, they write their own adventure, weaving their characters alongside the Myrndale cast in a story that is entirely, uniquely theirs.
Every story is saved to their own personal bookshelf - to read, to listen to, to share with friends, and to print into their very own authored book. The app is managed through a parental portal, ensuring children only share stories with parental approval.

Every great world begins with a story

What Children Say...
Eabha, 8 (Donegal)I love creating my own adventures in Myrndale! Misneach the Wolf and Whispero are my favourites. And Eabha the Fox! I make new stories with them all the time!
Abbie, 11These cards help me write my own stories! I get so many ideas, and I love picking different characters and mixing other characters from other stories in too.
Fiadh, 6Every night, I use the cards with my mammy or daddy, and we bring our family into Myrndale. It’s so much fun!
Taylia, 11 (Fermanagh)I like making up my own stories but sometimes its good to have storycards to help. The Myrndale cards are really good cause they give me lots of ideas. The pictures are really good and I can see the stories in my mind.
Ms. O'Brien, 2nd Class TeacherThe Myrndale storycards have been a massive hit in my classroom! My students love using them to spark their imaginations. It’s great to see their confidence in storytelling grow as they create their own stories. The characters and prompts give just enough guidance while allowing for the children to be very creative.
